Cellist, 2019.
ink and watercolor on paper, 8.5 x 5 inches.
Growing up, our parents made us take piano lessons until high school. Then we could change to a different instrument if we wanted to, but we still had to take lessons. Those lessons, and the musical ability we now enjoy, became one of the most treasured things we possess, and something we’ll pass on to our own children. This painting is inspired by my sister, Grace, the cellist of the family.
Loopy People, 2019.
